In the wastewater treatment market, air is used in ventilation systems for water and sewage, as well as for air purification and backwashing of filters. Hoffman single-stage high-speed centrifugal blowers can be applied in both coarse and fine foam diffuser systems, to provide batch reactor make-up air, in the grit chamber of biogas compressors, and for sludge and bacterial decomposition. In the industrial market, Hoffman blowers and exhausters are used to provide air or industrial gasses for applications including sulfur recovery, air combustion, pressure boosting of industrial waste gasses, mine ventilation, in pressurized fluidized bed combustion systems, for steam gas bleeding, fertilizer composting, sludge incineration, and print systems.
